CorelDRAW X4 is a software for processing various vector images. Examples of its use include making logos, business cards, brochures, and invitation cards. A raster image can also be converted into a vector image, for example a selfie photo that is processed into a cartoon image. The method is not difficult, but it takes extra patience in the process.
CorelDRAW X4 is the umpteenth version of CorelDRAW released to the public. Before this version, there were already 13 editions of CorelDRAW in circulation. When compared to past editions, the difference is quite a lot. But when compared to CorelDRAW X3, maybe only familiar users can quickly find out what is different in CorelDRAW X4 because the differences are slight when viewed from their respective interfaces.
CorelDRAW X4 Features
Quick Start
One part of CorelDRAW X4 called Quick Start serves to welcome and make it easier for you to start or continue the editing session.
There are 80 templates in Quick Start that you can use to get started. If you have already edited a file, Quick Start will display the file in thumbnail mode so that it is easily recognized and you can immediately open it for re-editing or just for review.
PowerTRACE
Even more interesting than Quick Start is PowerTRACE. This feature is designed to facilitate the conversion of bitmap objects into vectors. The time needed to do image tracing can be much shorter than usual, which is often up to hours.
Page Layout
In addition to editing vector images, CorelDRAW X4 can also be used to set page layouts with the help of tables. When you create (for example) a brochure, the position of each text and graphic element in the brochure can be arranged using table cells.
ConceptShare
For those of you who often work on design projects, CorelDRAW X4 provides a ConceptShare feature to communicate in real time either with clients to talk about project details and send design sketches and finished results, with other designers to find the most appropriate solution when encountering design problems, or with anyone to get input on design works that may be in the process.
