The successor to iOS 14 is rumored to be coming in 2021. The operating system, dubbed iOS 15, will load on a number of Apple devices.
Launching from Gizchina, Monday (23/11), there are at least 17 Apple devices ready to receive the iOS 15 update. Here’s a list of iPhones that will support iOS 15:
- IPhone 2021 lineup
- iPhone 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 12 Pro
- iPhone-12 mini
- iPhone 12
- iPhone 11
- iPhone-11 Pro
- iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone XS
- iPhone-XS Max
- iPhone XR
- iPhone X
- iPhone-8
- iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone-7 Plus
- iPhone SE (2nd generation)
- iPod touch (7th generation)
Interestingly, the iPhone 6 Series and the first generation iPhone SE do not appear in the list of devices that accept iOS 15. According to a recent report, Apple plans to abandon support for the iPhone SE (1st generation), iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus when it releases iOS 15 next year.
Even so, keep in mind that all these models have an update for iOS 14. However, it seems that they are no longer receiving the next generation iOS system update.
Apart from that, this list is not yet certain, because it is possible for Apple to add or remove devices that accept the successor to iOS 14. Moreover, until now there has been no official statement from Apple.
