Imagine a situation.\u00a0For example, you provide an online portal for your office employees.\u00a0To access it, employees need to type in a URL<\/a> that is connected to a specific IP Address.\u00a0Even though the IP Address can change every time there is a new connection.<\/p>\n

To make it easier, you can just provide a static IP Address.\u00a0However, static IP addresses are expensive and tend to have high security risks.<\/p>\n

Well, another solution that is cheaper and more practical is to use DDNS.\u00a0The portal that you created can still be accessed without having to do manual IP updates many times.<\/p>\n

You need a\u00a0Network Address Translation (NAT) Router<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0NAT is a system that connects many servers<\/a> to the internet network.<\/p>\n

Well, the NAT router will inform your\u00a0\u00a0IP Address and internal port<\/strong>\u00a0to the server<\/a>.\u00a0To make both available externally, there needs to be something called port forwarding and a new\u00a0IP Address and external port<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n

That way, your portal or internal database can be accessed by computers or clients outside the network location.<\/p>\n

The problem is, the\u00a0external IP address is still changing every time a new connection is made<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0If the IP address changes, the client automatically cannot access the server.<\/p>\n
