Here are the latest features of the macOS 11 Big Sur operating system released by Apple.<\/p>\n

Tech company Apple has officially released macOS Big Sur, the latest operating system for Mac and MacBook.<\/p>\n

Reporting from the Techradar <\/a>page, the new MacOS Big Sur brings some pretty big improvements.<\/p>\n

If its predecessor, macOS Catalina, has seen only a slight improvement over macOS Mojave, macOS 11 Big Sur<\/a> will bring about the biggest changes to Apple’s operating system in years.<\/p>\n

MacOS Big Sur elevates the world’s most advanced desktop operating system to a new level of sophistication and beauty, Apple said in the release of MacOS version 11.01, as quoted from Antara, Friday (11\/13\/2020).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole Mac experience with a new, refined design. Enjoy the biggest Safari update ever. Find new features for Maps and Messages. And get more transparency around your privacy, \u201dhe said of what’s new in MacOS Big Sur.<\/p>\n

MacOS Big Sur’s new features<\/h2>\n

In this operating system, the dock containing the application icons remains at the bottom of the screen, typical of OS for Mac. MacOS Big Sur also provides a new look for Control Center, so that the Do Not Disturb feature, keyboard brightness can be accessed via the menu bar.<\/p>\n

Safari<\/h3>\n

For the Safari browser, Mac devices using the Apple M1 chip<\/a> will be 1.5 times faster when opening JavaScript. Big Sur also promises javaScript to be twice as responsive.<\/p>\n

Apple has also revamped tabs for Safari in that more tabs appear and include previews when hovering over tabs.<\/p>\n

The latest Safari is also equipped with integrated translation features (built-in) in seven languages, the browser can immediately translate the entire content of the page.<\/p>\n

Messages<\/h3>\n

The messaging feature on Mac is now equipped with new tools, such as a “conversation pin” to mark messages so that they are at the top.<\/p>\n

Messages are also synchronized between Mac devices with iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.<\/p>\n

To make texting feel more personal, Big Sur also provides Messages a feature to decorate messages with homemade emojis.<\/p>\n

Messages also gets new features for groups, for example for family and friends, which allows you to directly reply to messages in threads.<\/p>\n

Maps<\/h3>\n

The new Maps application has a Guides feature, to provide guidance to places like restaurants to tourist attractions.<\/p>\n

While in the Look Around feature, users can see the desired place in a 360 degree image.<\/p>\n

Maps in Big Sur will also feature navigation routes for bicycles and electric scooters, which can be sent directly to the iPhone.<\/p>\n
