or &#8220;detect&#8221; and make sure a second screen appears as shown above, and also select &#8220;Extended Displays&#8221; in the &#8220;Multiple Displays&#8221; section.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>\u00a0: Select the monitor order.\u00a0You can tell Windows which monitor is on the left or right by dragging the screen icon at the top of the dialog box.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong>\u00a0: Select Primary Display.\u00a0The \u201cMake this my main display\u201d option controls which monitor gets the taskbar and Start button.\u00a0If you don&#8217;t see that option, the currently selected monitor is already the primary one.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to Install a Second Monitor on Linux (Ubuntu)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To attach an additional <a href=\"https:\/\/matob.web.id\/news\/what-is-the-function-of-computer-monitor\/\">monitor<\/a>, connect a second monitor to your computer.\u00a0If your system doesn&#8217;t recognize it immediately, or you want to adjust the settings:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open\u00a0<strong>Activities Overview<\/strong>\u00a0and start typing\u00a0<strong>Display<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Display<\/strong>\u00a0to open the panel.<\/li>\n<li>In the display settings chart, drag your display to the relative position you want.<\/li>\n<li>The numbers on the chart are shown at the top left of each display when the\u00a0<strong>Active Screen<\/strong>\u00a0pane\u00a0.<\/li>\n<li>Click Primary Display to select your Primary Display.<\/li>\n<li>The Primary Display is the view with the top bar, and is where the Activities overview is shown.<\/li>\n<li>Choose orientation, resolution or scale, and refresh rate.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Apply<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0The new setting will take effect for 20 seconds before returning.\u00a0That way, if you can&#8217;t see anything with the new settings, your old settings will be automatically reverted.\u00a0If you are satisfied with the new settings, click Keep Changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>How to Install a Second Monitor on a Mac<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To attach an additional monitor to a Mac device, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect a second monitor to an available port on the Mac device,<\/li>\n<li>If the monitor is not detected, open the Apple menu \u00a0&gt;
